Community Stewardship Circle Update – October 2014

At the bi-monthly community meeting of Sacred Path on October 26th, 2014, the Community Stewardship Circle (CSC) shared several updates:

– On October 6th, we received our Certificate of Incorporation from the State of Indiana. We are now a non-profit organization recognized in the State of Indiana. Our officers are: Eric Hinkle (President), Kathlene McNaney (Secretary), and Lori Stone Sirtosky (Treasurer). This comprises the entire CSC.

Riverside Mission Team Update – October 2014

Our main project for the past several months has been the care and upkeep of the 27th Street Community Garden. The garden is now closed for the winter and will start up again in a few short months to prepare for the spring planting.

Finance Team Update – October 2014

The Finance Team is very pleased to report that we have established a bank account. We are in the process of establishing a method to make night deposits (on Sundays) so that we can deposit cash receivables the day we receive most of them.

Covenant Team Update – October 2014

The Covenant Team has been working the past year to facilitate a process by which the community can develop and adopt a Community Covenant. This has involved educating ourselves and the larger congregation on the foundational importance of covenant to Unitarian Universalism as well as the many types of covenants that congregations can enter into (e.g., between congregations, between a congregation and a minister, between congregation and larger community, and ultimately between the congregation and that which is greater than us all).
